*Because, it’s obviously not all of them. Oh & for the ignorants among us, it’s = it is, what’s = what is.
I’m glad that’s over.

Anyhoo, I love FF:TSW, even though I can’t stand the FF series (the whole turn based moves thing frustrates me). Can’t remember, where & when I first watched it (TV? 2002?), but I’ve always been a big advocate of the movie. It’s been almost 8 years since it’s initial release, but it’s still awesome with it’s visuals. I can’t imagine watching this on Blu-Ray with a HD TV, c’mon, it looks this gorgeous on my laptop & LCD telly/monitor, with my old 2-disc DVD Edition. It’s a shame I never got to watch this in the cinema. It’s by no means perfect (8/10), but the voice acting is top notch, there’s the genuinely misundertood villain, Aki Ross & her 60,000 individually animated & rendered hair, and some serious animated eye candy (Ving Rhames’ Ryan Whittaker, yes Em, I’m still in that stage, even animated characters are not safe). I believe it deserved better, c’mon, lets be frank, it looks better than Beowulf, even though it’s older. Who knows, it might even get Blade Runner’s cult status (I really don’t need fanboy action, so just buzz off).
When photorealistic rendered 3D animated films become the norm, this film will be considered a very good start. Yes people, I actually enjoy the story, thanks to my uncanning ability to suspend my disbelief, whenever I’m watching a feature. C’mon, how would you explain how Bugs Bunny defies gravity (eg High Diving Hare), Daffy Duck’s highly entertaining beak (eg Rabbit Seasoning), action movies (eg The Die Hard franchise) & many more. Just "release your inhibitions" & enjoy it.
You’re allowed to ignore what I’ve just said, since I love Cutthroat Island, Waterworld & anything that has Patrick Warbutton’s voice on it.Oh & thanks to my mummy & daddy for always getting those Disney features, I’ll leave you with this random info – A friend of mine, Sunny, had never watched a Disney feature till I [& Najma] made her watch one her watch one in 2005, Hercules I think? She kept complaining about the singing.
This is almost (I think*) 3 years old, Imogen Heap is an excellent looper. Apparently, I’m not the only one who hears [melodic] voices in my head. Now if only I could just afford that equipment & know how to use it. Who am I kidding? Fruity Loops is hard enough.
*It was performed on 9/3/06, but I’m not sure if it’s the American dating system or the normal dating system, could be Sept. 3rd or March 9th. Probably the former, since it’s an American radio station (Studio 11, Indie 103.1FM).
I wish I knew how to express myself via music, the idea is there, but my delivery sucks. This blog looks better on Firefox, oh well.
Update:Amazing, the video has been up there for two years, the minute I save & rate it (as a fav on my youtube), share it on my facebook page & blog about it, they delete it. Ouch. Thank God for DownloadHelper. Ha!
Update 2: It’s still there, I made a mistake, marked the other one (same video, different uploader), which had been taken off, will change embed.
Premise
USoT: A family coping with it’s matriach’s DID (dissociative identity disorder).
DH: I really am too lazy to type it out. The premise is good on paper, but it’s delivery is wanting. Although, I’m still going to watch it out of Whedon loyalty.
Expectations
USoT: Created by Diablo Cody [from an idea by Steven Spielberg], we expected quirky & witty dialogue & mannerisms, some craziness. We sure as hell got them.
DH: Created by Joss Whedon, we expected witty diaglogue, action, some metaphors on life. We get the ocassional wit from Topher, the douche, you love to hate. Ok, the porn joke in "Man on the Street" had me in fits. Err…we got a metaphor with the kick-boxing scene in the pilot. I’m still peeved with the motorcycle scene in the pilot, I always skip it. The action comes & goes, but I really think they should consider more drama. I might be an action fiend, but a good drama can kick ass. It could be a whole lot better. Maybe, Whedon should consider making it a comic or even an animated series.
Breakout star
USoT: Tara Gregson’s alters (Toni Collette). Whenever Tara transistions, you believe it. I love how she potrays Tara & her alters (Buck, Alice, T & Gimmy). If she doesn’t win an award, I’ll send Kratos to their asses. Plus, the theme song’s ace.
DH: Sierra (Dichen Lachman), Joss really needs to stop praising Eliza Dushku & really needs to focus more on Lachman. C’mon she schooled Dushku by essentially playing the same character in "Gray Hour".
Whedon, if you’re lucky enough to get a second season, take a leaf out of USoT’s book, get Dushku to lose her inhabitions, I’ll give her some credit for playing broken Echo in "Gray Hour", but she could do better. She really needs to make it believable. Plus, we need some good reasons to hire an Active in the first place. The whole midwife scenario was really silly.
I want my Eureka! Off to watch The Ladies No. 1 Detective Agency, forgot to watch it again, darnit!
News Flash: ABC has been infected with the FOX virus.
